Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill - one of the most famous collaborations in modern theatre. What was their professional relationship like? How did they work together on The Threepenny Opera? And what was the legacy of this work? Tom Kuhn and Matthew Scott will be discussing these and other related questions on Wednesday 8th June in a talk at the National Theatre ahead of an evening performance of the play. Tom Kuhn teaches German at Oxford University, where he is a Professor of twentieth-century German literature and Fellow at St Hugh's College. He is Principle Investigator on the 'Writing Brecht' project. Matthew Scott is Head of Music at the National Theatre.
